Exciting Finals in Volleyball and Badminton at AKTU Convocation Sports Fest

Lucknow: The ongoing convocation celebrations at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) reached a high point with the finals of the volleyball and badminton tournaments. The contests, filled with energy and enthusiasm, showcased the sporting spirit of both staff and faculty.

Volleyball Glory for AKTU Administration
In the volleyball finals, the AKTU Administration team delivered a stellar performance, defeating FOAP in straight sets (2-0) to clinch the championship title. The fast-paced game drew loud cheers from the audience and set the tone for the festive atmosphere.

Badminton Domination by CASH
Meanwhile, the badminton courts witnessed complete dominance by the Centre for Advanced Studies in Higher Education (CASH) team. In all categories—men’s singles, women’s singles, and doubles—CASH players emerged victorious, marking a clean sweep in the competition.

Senior Leadership Set the Example
The tournament was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. J.P. Pandey. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Acting Registrar Keshav Singh, and Finance and Accounts Officer Yamini Jain also participated in the badminton matches themselves, inspiring faculty and staff to actively engage in the sports events.

Dignitaries in Attendance
The finals were graced by several senior officials, including Controller of Examinations Prof. Deepak Nagariya, Dean of Student Welfare Prof. O.P. Singh, Associate Dean Innovation Anuj Kumar Sharma, Deputy Registrars R.K. Singh and D.P. Singh, Tabish Ahmad Abdullah, Assistant Registrars Ranjit Singh, Saurabh Singh, Sunil Pandey, Ayush Srivastava, Shivam Gupta, and Shantanu Pathak among others.

The sporting events not only added vibrancy to the convocation celebrations but also strengthened camaraderie among faculty, staff, and students, creating an atmosphere of unity and enthusiasm on campus.
