Mumbai: The excitement surrounding Excel Entertainment’s highly anticipated film 120 Bahadur is at its peak. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment, the film is based on the historic Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 India-China war. Farhan Akhtar takes on the lead role, bringing to life one of the most heroic military stories in Indian history. The recently released teaser has already captivated audiences with its powerful glimpse into courage, sacrifice and patriotism.
Director Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai shared insights into the massive scale on which the film has been crafted. “Shooting at 14,000 feet with a crew of 600 people was not easy. We worked overnight in minus 8 degrees. But the scale at which we achieved everything is truly incredible,” he said, emphasizing the team’s dedication.
He also revealed that the film features a 35-minute-long climax, which will be the biggest war scene ever shown in Indian cinema. To ensure authenticity, a snow expert who has previously worked on Game of Thrones was brought in from England to recreate the brutal snowstorms that occurred at 17,000 feet during the actual battle.

Calling the film much more than a war spectacle, Ghai said, “This story is not just about battle; it is about sacrifice and bravery. Audiences will feel like they are standing in the middle of the war.”
120 Bahadur is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment) along with Amit Chandra (Trigger Happy Studios). The film is set to release in cinemas on 21 November 2025.
