Lucknow : The final match of the state-level cricket tournament CRICOMANIA, organized by the Medivision wing of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Awadh Prant, was held between TS Mishra Medical College, Lucknow and ASMC Etah. The tournament, held from April 25 to April 30, 2025, featured teams from across Uttar Pradesh’s medical and dental colleges.
In an electrifying final, ASMC Etah batted first and scored a formidable 157 runs in 12 overs. In response, TS Mishra Medical College’s team was bowled out for 128 runs in 11 overs, handing ASMC Etah a decisive victory and the championship title of the tournament’s inaugural season.
For his spectacular performance — taking 5 wickets for just 12 runs in 3 overs — Dr. Arun Kumar of ASMC Etah was named Man of the Match.
The winning team received a cash prize of ₹11,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up team was awarded ₹5,100 and a trophy.

The chief guest, Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and former State Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh, presented the trophies to both teams. In his address, he praised the initiative, calling it “a unique and commendable effort that brought together students from 18 medical and dental colleges across the state.” He added, “We hope that in the next season, every medical and dental college in Uttar Pradesh will participate in this enriching competition.”
Pushpendra Vajpayee, ABVP Awadh Prant Minister, emphasized the organization’s longstanding commitment to the holistic development of students. He said, “Since its inception, ABVP has worked for student development through creative and engaging programs. This cricket tournament was a chance for medical students to showcase their hidden talents beyond academics, and the enthusiasm seen over six days is proof of its success.”
Other notable attendees included ABVP’s Prant Sah-Mantri Rohit Singh, Metropolitan Vice President Dr. Ishdeep Kaur, Dr. Yashlok Singh, Dr. Praveen Singh, Rahul Saraswat, Anurag Mishra, Ashish Pathak, TS Mishra Medical College Chairman Kapil Mishra, Rekhank Parashar, Ashutosh Srivastava, Anurag Tiwari, and Aryan Singh Tomar, among others.
