Lucknow: The Lucknow Municipal Corporation conducted a major anti-encroachment drive in Zone-5. The drive covered the area from Alambagh Police Chowki to the old jail road, extending up to the Home Guard Headquarters crossing. During this campaign, illegally placed carts, stalls, counters, kiosks, and other unauthorized setups were removed from public spaces.
As part of the operation, a total of 10 carts, 4 counters, and 3 wooden stalls were cleared from the roads. The municipal team also issued strict warnings to vendors and encroachers, advising them not to re-occupy public spaces in the future.
The campaign was led by Zone-5 Zonal Officer Nandkishore, with support from Tax Superintendent Alok Kumar Srivastava, Revenue Inspector Shri Piyush Tiwari, Enforcement Officer Sushri Renu Yadav (In charge of Enforcement Team 296), and the local police force. Together, they carried out the removal work in a systematic and disciplined manner.
This initiative by the municipal corporation aims to improve road safety, ease traffic congestion, and provide clear walkways for pedestrians. It reflects the ongoing efforts to keep the city clean, organized, and accessible for all residents.
The corporation has appealed to the public not to encroach on public land and to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness and order in the city. Authorities have also warned that any repeat offenses will result in strict legal action.
