Lucknow: Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus, in association with Abhivriddhi Innovation & Consultants Pvt. Ltd., successfully conducted a comprehensive workshop on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Act, 2013 for all its staff members. The initiative aimed at fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace while strengthening awareness about legal rights and responsibilities.
The esteemed resource persons, Rajesh Pandey, Director, and Dr. Saumyata Pandey, Consultant and Trainer, were warmly welcomed by the Principal with a traditional shawl and a sapling, symbolising respect, growth, and sustainability. The workshop witnessed active participation from every staff member, reinforcing the institution’s collective commitment to maintaining a dignified and secure work environment.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rina Pathak, Principal, emphasized that a safe and respectful workplace is the cornerstone of a progressive institution. She highlighted that awareness and sensitivity are essential in building a culture of trust, dignity, and equality. She further stated that such initiatives empower individuals to act responsibly, uphold ethical values, and contribute positively to a healthy organisational environment.

The session explored the genesis of the PoSH Act, tracing its roots to the Bhanwari Devi case (1992) and the subsequent Vishaka Guidelines, which ultimately led to the enactment of the PoSH Act in 2013. Key themes included constitutional safeguards under Articles 14, 15, 19, and 21, international frameworks such as CEDAW, and the importance of gender equality in professional spaces. Participants were also sensitised to complaint mechanisms, Internal Committees, timelines, penalties, and the distinction between the Vishaka Guidelines and the PoSH Act.
The workshop emphasized prevention, awareness, and redressal, highlighting how a safe work environment enhances mental well-being and professional growth.
