Empowering the youth plays on the mind of CM Yogi

Lucknow: On the occasion of flag hoisting in front of Vidhan Bhavan on the 78th Independence Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyam Vikas Abhiyan Yojana’ for the youth. He said that youth is the axis of India’s development. Our youth is talented, full of energy, the contribution of these youth is very important for the creation of a developed India.

For this, the state government is paying special attention to education and employment. It is a pleasure to announce a new scheme for our youth within the state. Through this scheme, success will be achieved in connecting 10 lakh youth with employment and self-employment within the next few years. Under the scheme, the government will financially support the youth interested in enterprise instead of job for the formation of 10 lakh MSME units. Giving information about the steps taken by the state government for the upliftment of the youth, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the investment made in the state so far has provided employment to more than one crore 62 lakh youth and by adopting the schemes of the central and state government, 62 lakh youth have also been helped in connecting with self-employment. Through a fair and transparent process, we have succeeded in providing government jobs to more than 6.5 lakh youth in the last 7 years, while a start-up fund has also been established by the state government to attract youth for financing start-up units. To make the youth technically competent, free distribution of 2 crore smartphones and tablets is going on effectively.

The government is also trying to upgrade education at every level

CM Yogi said that the state government is also making efforts to upgrade education at every level. The curriculum of primary, secondary, higher, vocational and technical education is being developed in accordance with the National Education Policy. So far, more than 20 lakh 50 thousand children have taken admission in council schools in the new academic session. To provide uniforms, sweaters, shoes, socks, school bags etc. to the students, Rs 1200 is being sent to the accounts of the parents of the students through DBT. Chief Minister Residential Schools have been established in each division. The process of setting up Chief Minister Model Composite Schools in 57 districts is also in progress. 190 new government high schools and 58 inter colleges have been established in unserved areas.

UP is moving towards the goal of one district one university

Referring to the efforts made in higher education, CM Yogi said that the concept of one division one university has come true. Now we have moved towards the goal of establishing one district one university. Maharaja Suheldev University in Azamgarh, Raja Mahendradev University in Aligarh, Maa Shakumbhari Devi University in Saharanpur have been operational. The work of State University in the name of Guru Jambeshwar in Moradabad, State University in the name of Maa Pateshwari in Devipatan Mandal, State University in the name of Maa Vindhyavasini in Mirzapur and Agriculture and Technology University in the name of Mahatma Buddha in Kushinagar has also progressed. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University is ready in Lucknow, while the work of Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University in Gorakhpur is also going to be completed at a fast pace. The first sports university of the state is also under construction in Meerut.
