Lucknow: To ensure effective, transparent and time-bound implementation of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls across Assembly constituencies, District Magistrate and District Election Officer Vishakh G conducted surprise inspections in several areas under Assembly Constituency 175 – Cantonment on Monday. The focus of the inspection was to assess the progress of collection and digitisation of enumeration forms.
During the visit, the District Election Officer inspected the polling stations at Railway Higher Secondary School, Fateh Ali Talab, and Booth No. 227 at A.P. Sen Memorial College. He reviewed the ongoing electoral revision work and issued necessary directions to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs). He then inspected Booth No. 228 at Harshita Apartment on A.P. Sen Road, evaluating on-ground arrangements.
BLOs informed the District Election Officer that the distribution of enumeration forms had been completed and the process of collecting duly filled forms from voters was currently underway. Simultaneously, the digitisation of collected forms was also being carried out. BLOs have been instructed to resolve any queries or doubts faced by voters while filling the forms promptly.
Officials including EROs, AEROs, supervisors, and BLOs are continuously visiting their respective areas to ensure smooth progress. The administration aims to complete the digitisation of all enumeration forms by the Election Commission’s deadline of 4 December 2025. The District Election Officer appealed to all voters to submit their filled enumeration forms to their respective BLOs at the earliest.
During the inspection, the District Election Officer reviewed the status of form collection, voter outreach efforts, and mobile app-based data feeding. He directed BLOs to ensure all forms are collected before the 4 December deadline.

Later in the evening, the District Magistrate conducted a surprise visit to several Election War Rooms/Feeding Centres established for digitisation. Beginning with the centre at Picture Gallery, Husainabad, he reviewed the progress of data feeding and instructed officials to maintain steady workflow and accuracy.
He then inspected the feeding centres at Shia PG College, IET Jankipuram, ITI Aliganj, and the BRC office at Vikas Bhawan, where BLOs and support staff were actively engaged in digitisation.
The District Election Officer stated that Election War Rooms have been set up separately for each Assembly constituency to ensure timely completion of digitisation tasks. Each War Room has a designated in-charge officer responsible for continuous monitoring of the feeding process.
The DM directed all BLOs and supporting staff to complete the digitisation work within the stipulated timeline and instructed senior officials to ensure full cooperation and proper supervision throughout the process.
