Mumbai: Ekta Kapoor’s popular supernatural thriller show ‘Naagin’ has successfully completed six seasons, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the seventh installment. Speculations regarding the lead actress have been rife, with names like Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankita Lokhande doing the rounds. However, the mystery has now been solved, revealing the new face who will take on the mantle, following in the footsteps of Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan.
According to reports, ‘Udaariyaan’ and ‘Bigg Boss 17’ fame Isha Malviya is in talks to play the lead role in ‘Naagin 7’. Sources from the production team suggest that the actress is close to finalizing the deal. “Isha is actively in discussions with the show’s creators, and things are looking positive. She is expected to be officially confirmed soon,” a source revealed.
Isha Malviya’s Casting Almost Confirmed?
Sources claim that the show’s makers have immense confidence in Isha’s acting skills and believe she will bring freshness to the iconic role. “Isha has already proven her acting prowess in her previous projects, and it seems like she has the potential to take the ‘Naagin’ franchise to new heights,” the source added.
A Decade of ‘Naagin’
If Isha Malviya is finalized for the role, she will join the league of actresses like Mouni Roy, Surbhi Jyoti, and Nia Sharma, who have previously played the shape-shifting serpent on screen. ‘Naagin’ first premiered in 2015 with Mouni Roy, Adaa Khan, and Arjun Bijlani in lead roles, and it turned out to be a massive hit. Due to its popularity, Mouni Roy was retained for the second season as well.
