New Delhi — In a major crackdown on narcotics in South District, the vigilant team of Police Station Ambedkar Nagar has arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 11.386 kilograms of ganja from his possession. The accused, identified as Manoj Ram (33), a resident of Village Gausanagar Rampatti, PS Rajnagar, Madhubani, Bihar, was apprehended during a routine patrol by police officers near Madangir Village, Delhi.
The arrest has been made in FIR No. 283/25, registered under Section 20 of the NDPS Act at PS Ambedkar Nagar.
Operation Details:
As part of an ongoing special drive against drug peddlers and suppliers across South District, a team from PS Ambedkar Nagar—under the leadership of Inspector Muneesh Kumar (SHO) and Inspector Neeraj Kumar (ATO), and guided by ACP Dinesh Sharma of C.R. Park—was deployed to track and disrupt the narcotics supply chain in the area.
On June 30, 2025, Head Constables Yogender (No. 1459/SD), Sanjeev (No. 795/SD), and Constable Harkesh (No. 343/SD) were patrolling near Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Shamshan Ghat Road, when they spotted a man behaving suspiciously. Upon approaching him, the man attempted to flee, but the alert officers managed to intercept and detain him.
He was identified as Manoj Ram, and during a search, a bag in his possession was found to contain 11.386 kg of ganja. The contraband was immediately seized, and legal proceedings were initiated.
