DrRMLIMS Hosts CME Workshop on Blueprinting to Enhance Medical Assessment Quality

Lucknow: The Medical Education Unit of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences successfully organised a CME-cum-workshop on “Blueprinting: Enhancing Quality of Assessment in Medical Education” on March 24, 2026. The programme was conducted under the visionary leadership of Director Dr C M Singh.

The workshop aimed to strengthen faculty competencies in aligning learning objectives with appropriate assessment strategies through the structured process of blueprinting, in line with competency-based medical education (CBME).

The event featured interactive sessions, focused discussions, and hands-on group activities, enabling participants to gain practical insights into designing effective assessment frameworks.

Organised by Dr Vibha Gangwar under the chairmanship of MEU Coordinator Dr Jyotsna Agarwal, the workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members across various medical colleges, reflecting a strong commitment to improving medical education standards.

An overview of blueprinting was delivered by Dr Amita Pandey from King George’s Medical University, who highlighted the integration of blueprinting into modern assessment practices.

The sessions were further enriched by expert contributions from distinguished faculty including Dr. Ritu Karoli, Dr. Navbir Pasricha, Dr. Priyanka Rai, Dr. Richa Choudhary, Dr. Shitanshu Shrivastava, Dr. Manish Kumar Singh, and Dr. Eti Sthapak.

The workshop concluded with highly positive feedback from participants, who appreciated its practical orientation and relevance, noting its significant role in enhancing the quality, validity, and reliability of assessment practices in medical education.
