Dr. Smita Mishra’s Three Literary Works Launched at Press Club Lucknow
Lucknow – In a celebration of literature and emotional introspection, Dr. Smita Mishra’s three literary works — Ehsaas, Trauma Bonding, and Phir Milungi — were officially launched at the Press Club, Lucknow, in a joint event organized by IP Foundation and Vidyotma Foundation.
The book launch was graced by an eminent gathering of academics, artists, and cultural icons. Among the dignitaries present were Prof. Adarsh Mishra Shukla of Feroze Gandhi College, Raebareli, Captain Saroj Singh, Prof. Shashi Mishra from Lucknow University’s English Department, noted folk singer Indra Srivastava, Dr. Rashmi Sheel, Dr. Karuna Pandey, Vinita Mishra, Lucknow Women’s Association President Pratima Bajpai, Jayanti Shukla, and Dr. Abhishek, founder of Aastha Hospital — all of whom were felicitated at the ceremony.
The event commenced with a soulful invocation by acclaimed folk singer Asha Srivastava, and was eloquently conducted by Alka Pramod. Welcoming the guests, Nivedita Shri shared lesser-known aspects of Dr. Smita Mishra’s inspiring journey as a writer and social contributor.
Presiding over the function was former DGP Mahesh Chandra Dwivedi, while the Chief Guest was Prof. Shobha Bajpai. Dr. Rashmi Sheel introduced the audience to the themes of Ehsaas, a poetry collection featuring 56 deeply emotional poems. In her review of Trauma Bonding, Dr. Karuna Pandey compared human relationships to the Ashoka Pillar, saying, “Even if they appear to point in different directions, they are intrinsically connected at the core.”
Speaking about the third collection, Phir Milungi, Vinita Mishra praised Dr. Mishra’s ability to depict family bonds — between mother and child, siblings, and others — in simple, heartfelt poetic expressions. Veteran writer V.P. Shukla remarked, “Each poem confronts the truths of life with grace and authenticity.”

Prof. Shobha Bajpai, the Chief Guest, appreciated Dr. Mishra’s honest portrayal of familial relationships in accessible language, noting her ability to blend themes of joint families, motherhood, and womanhood with realism and emotional depth.
In his presidential address, former DGP Mahesh Chandra Dwivedi congratulated the author and said, “Dr. Mishra weaves emotional experiences and the quiet endurance of relationships into a powerful literary thread. Her writing is evocative and socially relevant.”
Dr. Usha Dixit, President of IP Foundation, delivered the vote of thanks and remarked, “The publication and launch of these three works is not just a literary event — it is a social milestone. Dr. Mishra’s lived experiences, drawn from her extensive social engagement and travels in India and abroad, make these works inspiring and universally relatable.”
The event concluded with a collective recognition of literature’s power to reflect, heal, and empower — and Dr. Smita Mishra’s contribution to that tradition.
