Lucknow | The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (Dr. RMLIMS) successfully organized an orientation program today titled “Quality Assurance in Academics”. The event, held at the Administrative Block’s Conference Hall, focused on enhancing educational standards and preparing for the NAAC accreditation process.
The program was organized under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Rajan Bhatnagar (Coordinator NAAC) as Organizing Chairperson and Prof. (Dr.) Smita Chauhan (Co-coordinator NAAC) as Organizing Secretary.
Professor (Dr.) C M Singh, Director of the institute addressed the gathering highlighting value of accreditations in growth of the university and need of contribution by each unit of the institute.
Professor (Dr.) Vikram Singh (CMS), Professor (Dr.) Subrat Chandra (ER), Dr Jyotsna Agarwal, Dr B C Tiwari, Dr A K Singh, Dr Ashish Singhal and many other senior faculty members also attended the event.
Major (Dr.) Nitin Dutt Bhardwaj, Head of Hospital Administration at KGMU, attended as the guest speaker. He delivered a lecture on “What is expected for a successful NAAC Accreditation Process,” providing valuable guidance to the faculty.
The program featured detailed presentations on various NAAC attributes, including:
o Curriculum Aspects
o Teaching and Learning
o Research and Innovation Outcomes
o Student Outcomes and Extended Engagement
o Governance and Administration
The afternoon concluded with an “Open House Discussion,” allowing Head of Departments (HODs) and NAAC coordinators to discuss strategies for academic excellence.
The event saw active participation from HODs and representatives across all departments, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to maintaining high-quality medical education.
