DPRO Kirti Choudhary Arrested for Accepting ₹70,000 Bribe in Mathura

Lucknow/Mathura: In a major anti-corruption crackdown, Kirti Choudhary, the District Panchayat Raj Officer (DPRO) stationed in Mathura, has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Lucknow for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹70,000 in exchange for work-related favors.

The incident took place in Mathura’s Indraprastha Colony, where the ACB’s vigilance team trapped Choudhary red-handed while she was accepting the bribe. The ACB team, which had come from Lucknow, successfully apprehended her during the sting operation.

Following her arrest, the team sealed her office and began conducting a thorough investigation, inspecting various documents found on the premises. Sources indicate that the bribe was accepted as part of a deal related to her official duties as the District Panchayat Raj Officer.

Choudhary is being transported to Lucknow for further legal proceedings. The operation is seen as a significant step in the ongoing efforts to tackle corruption in government offices across Uttar Pradesh.

The arrest of Kirti Choudhary serves as a stern reminder of the vigilance maintained by authorities in curbing corruption in public services.
