Doctors Can Make Better Use of AI in Medical Science: Deputy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak Launches Disha Health AI

LUCKNOW: Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak inaugurated “Disha Health AI” at an event organized by Disha Diagnostics. During the launch, he emphasized that a stronger health sector is crucial for a healthier population. He stated, “Our doctors can make better use of AI in medical science. We will work shoulder to shoulder with the world to utilize this technology to improve human life. However, AI cannot replace the human brain; therefore, doctors must also use their own judgment while using AI.”

Pathak also highlighted the significant changes occurring in the health sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, acknowledging the vital role of the private sector in this transformation.

India’s First Doctor-Led AI Health Model

According to Dr. Amit Sharma, Director of Disha Health AI, this is India’s first doctor-led and artificial intelligence-based preventive health screening model. Its objective is to provide world-class healthcare facilities to the people of Uttar Pradesh, enabling the timely identification of diseases, seeking a doctor’s advice, and making every citizen’s life healthier. He described the platform as a place where “doctors and data come together to make prevention the best treatment.”

Dr. Honey Bhaskar outlined the future plans for Uttar Pradesh, stating, “We will accelerate widespread preventive screening through Health ATMs. We will institutionalize AI training workshops for doctors in the state, streamline the supply chain for mobile screening and centralized medicine distribution, and bring telemedicine, data analytics, and AI-based decision support into the mainstream of medicine.”
