DM Vishak G Intensifies Farmer Registry Drive; Orders Door-to-Door Verification

LUCKNOW | District Magistrate Vishak G conducted a high-level field inspection of the ongoing Farmer Registry campaign in the Kakori and Malihabad blocks. The drive, aimed at creating a digital “Farmer ID” for the seamless delivery of government benefits, has entered an intensive phase with nodal officers deployed across every Gram Panchayat.

Field Inspection & Progress Review

The District Magistrate visited special camps organized in Village Jaliyamau (Kakori) and Village Sahilamau (Malihabad). During the inspection, he reviewed the categorization of farmers based on their registration status:

Village Total Farmers Completed Pending
Jaliyamau 506 199 307
Sahilamau 566 306 260

Priority for ‘Red Category’ Verification

Under the registry’s monitoring system, farmers are classified into Green, Amber, and Red categories based on their documentation status.

  • The Directive: Highlighting the urgency for the “Red Category” (those with significant discrepancies or pending data), the DM ordered door-to-door verification to ensure no genuine farmer is left out.

  • Jaliyamau Stats: Currently has 68 Green, 68 Amber, and 34 Red category farmers pending.

  • Sahilamau Stats: Currently has 39 Green, 83 Amber, and 23 Red category farmers pending.

Fixing Technical & Revenue Hurdles

Addressing the issues of mismatched details, DM Vishak G directed the Tehsil administration to immediately rectify revenue records where name discrepancies or technical errors are preventing the generation of Farmer IDs.

“Priority must be given to farmers whose names are already in the official orders but are facing ID generation issues due to data mismatch. Revenue records must be updated promptly to finalize their registration,” the DM stated.

Collaborative Effort

The campaign is being executed through a joint team of Gram Panchayat Secretaries, Lekhpals, Employment Servants (Rozgar Sevaks), and Technical Advisory Committees (TAC). The inspection saw the presence of key officials including the SDM, Tehsildar, Deputy Director of Agriculture, and the Deputy Commissioner (MNREGA).

The District Magistrate concluded the visit by instructing all departmental officers to complete the remaining registrations within the stipulated timeline, emphasizing that the Farmer Registry is a priority project for transparent governance.
