Divisional Industry Bandhu Committee Meeting Held Under Chairmanship of Lucknow Divisional Commissioner

Lucknow: A meeting of the Divisional Industry Bandhu Committee was held on January 30, 2026, under the chairmanship of Vijay Vishwas Pant, Commissioner, Lucknow Division, to review key issues related to industrial infrastructure and enterprise development across the division.

During the meeting, the issue of waterlogging in the industrial areas of Amausi, Sarojini Nagar, and Banthra was discussed in detail. Representatives of the C&DS unit of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam informed the committee that drainage works across areas falling under the Lucknow Municipal Corporation and Lucknow Development Authority are to be undertaken by their agency. Taking serious note of the issue, the Commissioner directed C&DS and the concerned departments to prepare an immediate action plan and present it in the next meeting.

Regarding sewerage and STP works being executed by Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam in the Amausi and Sarojini Nagar industrial areas, officials informed that the works are expected to be completed by June 2026. The Commissioner instructed that all works must be completed strictly within the stipulated timeline.

The meeting also reviewed the widening and strengthening of a 5.7-kilometre-long road from Nadarganj (Amausi Industrial Area) to Ring Road via Sunhera Road (rural road). Rajat Mehra, Secretary, Amausi Industrial Association, highlighted issues related to utility shifting. The Commissioner directed all concerned departments to form a committee and ensure prompt resolution of the problem.

In another key decision, it was informed that maintenance charges collected by UPSIDA from entrepreneurs in the industrial areas of Lalganj, Salon, Parsadepur, Chhatoah, and Deeh in Raebareli district are being adjusted against their lease rent accounts, for which a letter has been sent to the UPSIDA headquarters in Kanpur.

The meeting also included a review of government-sponsored loan schemes, including the Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana, One District One Product (ODOP) Financing Scheme, and the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan. During the review, the progress of Unnao district was found to be below the prescribed benchmarks, prompting the Commissioner to issue directions for immediate improvement.

The meeting was attended by Anil Kumar, Joint Commissioner (Industries), Lucknow Division; Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Commissioner, Lucknow Municipal Corporation; Ramendra Kushwaha, Manager, UPSIDA, Lucknow; Hariom Behelia, Assistant Engineer, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam; N.P. Verma, Project Director, NHAI, Lucknow; Uday Pratap Singh, Joint Commissioner, State Tax; Manjeet Kumar Verma, Engineer, C&DS, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam; Paramhans Maurya, Deputy Commissioner Industries, Raebareli; Riyazuddin, Assistant Commissioner Industries, Unnao; along with several other senior officials, bankers, entrepreneurs, and representatives of industrial associations from across the division.

The Commissioner reiterated the administration’s commitment to strengthening industrial infrastructure, resolving entrepreneurs’ issues promptly, and accelerating industrial growth in the Lucknow Division.
