District Magistrate Chairs Samadhan Diwas in Sadar Tehsil, Emphasises Timely Disposal of Public Grievances

Lucknow: The “Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas” was organized across all five tehsils of Lucknow district on Saturday, with the District Magistrate presiding over the main session at Sadar Tehsil. The initiative aims to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances at the local level, in line with government priorities.

A total of 521 complaints were received across the district, out of which 102 cases were resolved on the spot. At Sadar Tehsil alone, 73 cases were registered, with 26 grievances disposed of immediately through coordinated efforts of departmental teams. The remaining cases were forwarded to concerned departments with strict instructions to ensure resolution within a week.

The District Magistrate directed all officials to adhere strictly to legal procedures while ensuring quick, time-bound, and quality disposal of complaints. Emphasizing accountability, the DM instructed officials to inform complainants after resolution and to obtain feedback through direct communication.

Breakdown of grievance redressal across tehsils included:

  • Sadar: 73 cases received, 26 resolved
  • Malihabad: 72 received, 6 resolved
  • BKT (Bakshi Ka Talab): 99 received, 20 resolved
  • Mohanlalganj: 160 received, 36 resolved
  • Sarojini Nagar: 117 received, 14 resolved

In terms of departments, complaints included 140 related to police, 210 to revenue, 40 to development, 3 to education, 2 to health, 16 to social welfare, 16 to municipal corporation, and 94 under other categories.

The District Magistrate further instructed that all pending cases must be resolved within the stipulated timeframe, with proper documentation including photographs and videos submitted as part of the action report. Officials were also directed to personally follow up with complainants after resolution to ensure satisfaction.

Senior officials present during the session included Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Rakesh Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) Manoj Singh, Tehsildar J.P. Singh, along with representatives from police, social welfare, and other departments.

The Samadhan Diwas concluded with a strong emphasis on transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric governance.
