Lucknow: A crucial district-level Udyog Bandhu meeting was convened today at the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Vishakh G. The meeting brought together representatives of various industrial associations, senior officials from concerned departments, and officers from the Industry Department to deliberate extensively on issues related to industrial development in the district.
At the outset, a detailed department-wise review of pending cases on the Nivesh Mitra portal was undertaken. The District Magistrate expressed concern over cases that had remained pending beyond the stipulated time frame. Issuing clear and firm directions, he instructed all departments to ensure that applications and grievances displayed on the Nivesh Mitra portal are disposed of strictly within the prescribed timeline. He emphasized that unnecessary delays adversely affect investor confidence and the district’s industrial growth prospects.
The meeting then moved to a review of infrastructure development works in the Amausi/Nadarganj Industrial Area. Referring to directions issued during the previous meeting, the Executive Engineer of UPSIDA informed the chair that construction work related to drains, culverts, and medians is currently underway in the area. Taking a serious view of project timelines, the District Magistrate directed that all ongoing construction works must be completed by March 31. He further warned that failure to meet the deadline would result in the issuance of a charge sheet against the concerned Executive Engineer of UPSIDA and the initiation of disciplinary proceedings.
Progress regarding the provision of an LT (Low Tension) electricity line in the Goyla Industrial Area was also reviewed. The District Magistrate expressed strong displeasure over the unsatisfactory pace of expenditure and implementation against the sanctioned budget by the Electricity Department. Noting the lack of visible progress, he directed that a charge sheet be issued against the concerned Executive Engineer and forwarded to the Managing Director of the Electricity Department. He also instructed officials to prioritize all electricity-related works and ensure their early completion to facilitate uninterrupted industrial operations.

The meeting underscored the administration’s commitment to strengthening industrial infrastructure, streamlining approvals, and ensuring time-bound delivery of services to entrepreneurs. Officials present at the meeting included the Additional District Magistrate (City, East), Additional Municipal Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner Industries, Regional Officer of the Pollution Control Board, Regional Manager UPSIDA, representatives from the Lucknow Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, and other departments connected with industrial development. Office-bearers of industrial associations and local entrepreneurs also participated and shared their concerns and suggestions.
The District Magistrate reiterated that coordinated efforts between government departments and industry stakeholders are essential for fostering a conducive business environment in Lucknow. He assured that the district administration remains committed to resolving bottlenecks promptly and promoting sustained industrial growth in the region.
