Lucknow | In a move to ensure the effective, transparent, and time-bound implementation of the Special Intensive Revision Programme of Electoral Rolls, District Magistrate and District Election Officer, Shri Vishakh G, conducted a surprise inspection across multiple assembly constituencies in Lucknow today.
The inspection covered areas under Assembly Constituency 175 – Lucknow Cantonment and Assembly Constituency 172 – Lucknow North, where the officer reviewed on-ground preparations and the progress of voter verification work.
Beginning his inspection at Topkhana, Cantonment, Vishakh G visited booth numbers 387, 388, 389, and 390, closely examining the electoral activities and directing Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to maintain accuracy and efficiency in voter list verification. He also inspected booth numbers 324, 325, 328, 330, and 331 in Dilkusha area, followed by booth numbers 208, 209, 210, and 211 in Aliganj Sector B, where he assessed overall arrangements and voter contact progress.

During the review, the District Election Officer enquired about the distribution status of enumeration forms, voter outreach progress, and the real-time marking of voters through mobile applications. Emphasizing timely execution, he instructed that every voter must receive enumeration forms without delay and that all forms be correctly filled and compiled by December 4, 2025.
Reiterating the administration’s zero-tolerance stance, Vishakh G directed officials and staff that any negligence or laxity in election-related duties would not be tolerated. He urged them to ensure that all activities under the special revision programme are carried out transparently and within the stipulated timeframe, strengthening the democratic process ahead of upcoming electoral exercises.
