The awareness materials aim to educate passengers on safety measures, encourage vigilance during train journeys, and familiarize them with emergency helplines such as UP-112 and the services offered by GRP.

Senior officials including Additional Director General of Police (Railways) Prakash D. and Inspector General of Police (Railways) Modak Rajesh D. Rao were also present at the launch.

Key focus of the campaign

The posters and banners, to be displayed at railway premises, stations, and inside coaches, carry clear appeals urging passengers to:

  • Stay alert during their journeys.
  • Immediately report suspicious items or persons to the police.
  • Reach out to GRP or dial UP-112 for any assistance.

Safety is a shared responsibility

Speaking at the event, DGP Rajeev Krishna emphasized that passenger safety is not solely the responsibility of the police, but a collective duty of society as a whole. He assured that GRP and UP-112 remain committed to providing round-the-clock assistance to travelers.

ADG Railways expressed confidence that the initiative will raise awareness, help prevent crimes and accidents, and strengthen the overall sense of security for railway passengers across the state.
