Jaipur: Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister, Diya Kumari, was honored with the “Woman Tourism Minister of the Year, India” award for her remarkable efforts in promoting tourism in the state. The prestigious trophy, conferred by the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) earlier this month, was officially presented to her by Ravi Jain, Secretary of the Department of Tourism, on Wednesday.
Notably, this award was presented at ITB Berlin, Germany, by Dr. Alain St. Ange, former Minister of Tourism of Seychelles. On behalf of the Deputy CM, the Tourism Department officials, including Additional Director of Tourism Anand Tripathi and Deputy Director Upendra Singh Shekhawat, had received this prestigious award.
The Rajasthan government has been actively working to boost tourism in the state. In collaboration with the central government, it has implemented strategic plans to enhance Rajasthan’s tourism potential. The state’s tourism department has been extensively promoting Rajasthan at national and international tourism platforms to attract more visitors. Recognizing these commendable efforts, PATWA has bestowed this honor upon Rajasthan.
