Lucknow : A delegation from the Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane Supervisors’ Association met Cane Commissioner Pramod Kumar Upadhyay to discuss key concerns of sugarcane development inspectors and extend a formal invitation to their upcoming biennial convention.
The delegation included Atul Mishra, General Secretary of the State Employees Joint Council (U.P.), Manoj Rai, President of the Sugarcane Supervisors’ Association (U.P.), Dr. Sushil Kumar Yadav, General Secretary, and Amit Singh, District President.
During the meeting, the representatives invited the Cane Commissioner to attend the June biennial convention as a special guest. They also raised long-standing demands including:

- Posting of sugarcane supervisors in their home districts (as was the previous practice),
- Early completion of pending promotions,
- Resolution of salary discrepancies,
- Cadre restructuring, and
- Restoration of vehicle allowances.
Cane Commissioner Pramod Kumar Upadhyay assured the delegation that he is aware of the challenges faced by employees and will convene a meeting with the association soon to address the issues on a priority basis.
He appreciated the delegation’s efforts and extended his best wishes for the upcoming convention, thanking them for the invitation.
