Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Holds Dialogue with BJP Representatives

Lucknow — Defence Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh held a heartfelt interaction with BJP office bearers, district representatives, and mandal presidents during the Golden Celebration programme at the Vidhan Sabha on Sunday. The gathering, marked by a warm and familial atmosphere, saw Singh personally meeting and greeting attendees, followed by an hour-long open discussion on various pressing and ideological topics.

Addressing the gathering, Singh emphasised that no post or responsibility is small or big — all hold equal value in a committed organisation. “Carry out your duties with complete honesty and dedication. Being part of an organisation like ours is not a coincidence, it’s a divine opportunity,” he remarked. “It is the strength of this organisation that you are able to be associated with the Defence Minister of India.”

Singh shared that he always ensures communication with party workers, even when in Delhi. “If I miss a call, I make sure to return it later. No worker is too small to be ignored,” he said, reinforcing the importance of grassroots connection.

He encouraged everyone to maintain constant dialogue with people in their respective areas. “Always be present in the times of grief — even if you cannot attend their happy occasions, ensure you’re there in times of sorrow. That matters the most,” he stated, adding that he makes it a point to personally visit bereaved families of workers during his Lucknow visits.

Speaking on people’s power, Singh said, “Even if you do not hold an official position, the support and love of the public is your biggest strength. If people stand with you, you are already a great leader.”

Singh also reflected on his early days as an MP from Lucknow. “When I was elected for the first time, I had promised to make Lucknow’s railway station world-class. Today, we have achieved that milestone. It is a matter of great pride to contribute towards realising Atalji’s dream of a better Lucknow.”

During the event, Singh honoured mandal presidents who brought in the highest number of active members and instructed leaders to personally connect with those they had enrolled in the party.

In a moment of inspiration, Singh spoke about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, calling him a towering personality. He mentioned having written an article on Ambedkar, which was published in 172 newspapers across the country. “I urge all of you to understand and follow Dr. Ambedkar’s ideas and policies. His vision remains relevant and transformational,” Singh said.

The interaction underscored Singh’s continued emphasis on grassroots engagement, ideological commitment, and the importance of a service-oriented approach in public life.
