Deepotsav adds spark to Land of Rama

Lucknow /  Ayodhya : Preparations to make Deepotsav 2024 historic are in the final stages. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University Vice Chancellor Prof. Pratibha Goyal has started special preparations on 55 ghats of Saryu river on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. More than 30,000 volunteers are engaged in decorating 28 lakh lamps, out of which 80,000 lamps will be used to make a symbol of Swastika at Ghat No. 10 of Ram Ki Paidi.

The atmosphere will resonate with the slogan of Jai Shri Ram

On the second day of Deepotsav, volunteers from the university campus and other institutions left for Ram Ki Paidi with the slogan of Jai Shri Ram. All the volunteers started the process of decorating the lamps wearing QR code ID cards, T-shirts and caps.

Special attention to facilities

On Chhoti Diwali, October 30, 28 lakh diyas will be lit by applying oil and wick. Guidelines are being given to the volunteers from time to time at the ghats. Prof. Clean water has been arranged under the leadership of Siddharth Shukla and Prof. Gangaram Mishra, while food is being arranged under the supervision of Prof. Chayan Kumar Mishra. Cleaning of the ghats is also going on with the help of the Municipal Corporation.

Decoration work to be completed by October 28

Deepotsav nodal officer Prof. Sant Sharan Mishra said that 30,000 volunteers from the university campus and 14 colleges, 37 inter colleges and 40 NGOs are involved in this event. The work of decorating the lamps will be completed by October 28, and counting of lamps will start from 29. There is a plan to create a world record by lighting the lamps on October 30. The teams of all the institutions are working on a war footing for the success of Deepotsav.
