DCP West, Vishwajeet Srivastava, Conducts Annual Inspection of Sahadatganj Police Station

Lucknow: In line with the annual tradition, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), West, Vishwajeet Srivastava, conducted a thorough inspection of the Sahadatganj Police Station on Friday. The inspection aimed to assess the station’s operational readiness, cleanliness, and management of resources. As part of the annual review, Station House Officer (SHO) Brajesh Singh took proactive steps to enhance the station’s appearance, having overseen a beautification drive that included cleaning and refurbishing several areas.

During the inspection, DCP Srivastava appreciated the efforts made by SHO Singh in ensuring that the station’s infrastructure was in good shape. “It is important to maintain not only the operational efficiency but also the aesthetics and cleanliness of our facilities, as they reflect the professionalism of the force,” said Srivastava, commending the work done by Singh and his team.

In addition to the physical inspection of the station, Srivastava took a moment to address social welfare by distributing blankets to underprivileged women in the locality. This gesture was part of an ongoing initiative to support the marginalized sections of society, especially during the colder months.

A significant part of the inspection involved reviewing the police station’s Mal Khana (evidence storage room). Srivastava issued directives for the disposal of outdated and obsolete materials stored in the mal khana. He emphasized the importance of efficient space utilization and record management, ensuring that only relevant and necessary items are kept.

Further demonstrating his commitment to maintaining high standards, DCP Srivastava also tested the firearms proficiency of the sub-inspectors present, ensuring they were well-versed in weapon handling and safety protocols.

The inspection concluded with Srivastava praising the meticulous management of police records and the general upkeep of the station. He lauded Inspector Brajesh Singh for his consistent efforts in keeping the station both well-maintained and organized, and urged all officers to continue striving for excellence in their respective roles.

This annual inspection serves not only as a performance review but also reinforces the importance of community engagement, operational efficiency, and professional standards in the police force.
