Lucknow: On the occasion of National TB Elimination Day, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North administered an oath to all officers and staff at his office, pledging their commitment to the prevention of tuberculosis (TB) and raising awareness about the disease.
The oath emphasized the importance of contributing to the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (TB-Free India Campaign), encouraging proactive measures to control and eliminate tuberculosis from the country. The initiative aimed to sensitize the police personnel about the critical role they can play in spreading awareness among the public.
The DCP highlighted the need for collective efforts, stating, “TB is a preventable and curable disease. With awareness, timely diagnosis, and proper treatment, we can achieve the goal of a TB-free India. Let’s stand united in this mission.”
The event was part of a nationwide campaign to support India’s goal of eliminating tuberculosis by 2025, five years ahead of the global target.
