London: Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of football icon David Beckham, has sparked widespread attention after sharing a social media post claiming he has ended his relationship with his parents. The post, which has gone viral, contains serious allegations, including claims of control, emotional pressure and interference in his married life.
Breaking his silence, Brooklyn alleged that constant parental control had caused him anxiety and stress for several years. He said the decision to distance himself from his family was taken to protect his mental well-being.
In his post, Brooklyn further claimed that both before and after his marriage, his parents repeatedly attempted to create rifts between him and his wife, actor Nicola Peltz. He alleged that his mother refused at the last moment to design Nicola’s wedding dress, forcing last-minute arrangements.
Brooklyn also stated that shortly before the wedding, he was pressured to give up rights to his name, a move he claimed could have affected his wife and future children. He further alleged that on the eve of the wedding, he was told that his wife was “not blood family” and therefore not truly part of the household.
Sharing his emotional state, Brooklyn wrote that distancing himself from his parents had brought him peace for the first time. “I am not being controlled anymore. I am standing up for myself,” he said, adding that he currently has no intention of reconciliation.
The Beckham family has not issued an official response to the claims so far.
