Lucknow: For effective control of vector-borne diseases, communicable diseases and brain fever caused by rain, the Yogi Adityanath government is once again going to run the Communicable Disease Control Campaign across the state from October 1, which will run till October 31.
Along with this, Dastak Abhiyan will also be run across the state from October 11 to October 31. In accordance with the instructions of CM Yogi, the Communicable Disease Control Campaign and Dastak Abhiyan of the third phase of the year 2024 will be conducted by preparing a detailed action plan.
The campaign will be conducted by 11 other departments including the Health Department in mutual coordination. At the same time, the Yogi government has also appealed to the people to cooperate in making the campaign successful. Also inform the health department team about the places where mosquitoes breed.
Focus on awareness along with activities
On the instructions of CM Yogi, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh has directed all the Municipal Commissioners, General Managers of Jal Sansthan and Executive Officers of Nagar Palika Parishad to implement the action plan. Also, sensitization meetings have been scheduled for Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and all Nagar Panchayats and instructions have been given to provide the microplan of activities to be conducted body wise and ward wise by all the urban bodies for the special communicable disease control campaign to the Chief Medical Officer at the district level by September 29.
The Chief Secretary has directed that sensitization should be done by the officers and employees of the urban bodies with the cooperation of the Health Department regarding prevention of brain fever and other vector-borne diseases, waterborne diseases and cleanliness. Continuous awareness should be established about brain fever and other vector-borne diseases, waterborne diseases through Mohalla Surveillance Committees in urban areas. Also, fogging in urban areas, conducting intensive vector control and sensitization activities at the places mentioned in the list of high risk areas provided by the Health Department are included.
Health workers will go door-to-door to create awareness about cleanliness
Dastak Abhiyan will also run in all the districts of the state from 11 to 31 October. Under this, health workers will go door-to-door to spread awareness about cleanliness and health. ASHA and Anganwadi workers will go door-to-door and upload the complete details of persons with symptoms of fever, influenza like illness (ILI), filariasis, kala azar, leprosy, malnourished children including their name, address, mobile number on the e-Kavach portal. Along with this, the list of houses area-wise where mosquito breeding has been found, its details will be filled on the prescribed form and provided to the concerned officer. Communicable and Dastak Abhiyan will be run with the joint efforts of 11 other departments including the Health Department.
This includes Medical and Health Department, Rural Development Department/Panchayati Raj Development Department, Urban Development Department, Child Development Services and Nutrition Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Education Department, Medical Education Department, Agriculture and Irrigation Department, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Information Public Relations Department and Horticulture Department. The Health Department will be in the role of nodal department.
Abha ID will also be created
During the campaign, Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha ID) will also be created in the districts. This will facilitate the treatment of patients. The health department will also have information about which disease the patient was treated for and when. The World Health Organization and UNICEF will continuously monitor the campaign. It will also be monitored what work each department did and how much.
