LUCKNOW – The Daliganj Ahirbanpur electricity department has launched a series of early morning raids in the Madheyganj Khadra area to combat electricity theft. The campaign, which began with a pre-dawn operation, is aimed at reducing revenue losses and deterring illegal power connections.
According to a spokesperson for the electricity department, the team arrived in the area at 5 a.m. to target households with a history of theft or suspicious activity. The surprise raids have created a sense of fear among those engaging in electricity theft.
In the latest operation, five individuals were caught in the act of stealing electricity and are now facing legal action. The department has stated that this campaign is a key initiative to curb a pervasive issue that causes significant financial losses.
