Lucknow: The CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), Lucknow, in collaboration with Isabella Thoburn College, organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP) on the theme “Translating Idea to Enterprise: A Roadmap for Young Entrepreneurs”. The initiative was held under the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program (ESDP) of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, with the aim of inspiring students to embrace innovation, build entrepreneurial skills, and transform creative ideas into successful ventures.
The event began with the welcome of dignitaries including Dr. Bhaskar Naryan, Director, CSIR-IITR; Dr. (Mrs.) E. S. Charles, President, IT College; Dr. Neerja Masih, Principal, IT College; Dr. K. C. Khulbe, Chief Scientist, CSIR-IITR; and Dr. Ravi Ram Kristipati, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-IITR. The sessions were moderated by Mrs. Himanshi Tripathi, Scientist, CSIR-IITR, and Dr. Ashwani Bhardwaj, Senior Scientist, CSIR-IITR.
In his address, Dr. Ravi Ram Kristipati outlined the objectives of the EAP under the MSME-ESDP framework, stressing the critical role of skill development and entrepreneurship in empowering India’s youth. Welcoming remarks by the Director of CSIR-IITR and the Principal of IT College further set the tone for the day-long program.

Session I – Intellectual Property for Entrepreneurs & Startups
Speaker: Dr. K. C. Khulbe, Chief Scientist, CSIR-IITR
This session underlined the significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in safeguarding innovations and creating a competitive edge for startups. -
Session II – Workshop on Reverse Engineering (Prototyping) and Startup Registration
Resource Person: Mr. Sumit Kumar Vaish, Rapid Prototyping Expert & Entrepreneur, Lucknow
Participants gained hands-on experience in prototyping and learned the procedural steps for registering a startup. -
Session III – Motivation for Entrepreneurship: Innovation with Impact
Speaker: Dr. Shipra Bhardwaj, Founder, Ceyon Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., Lucknow (Incubatee at CSIR-IITR)
The session encouraged young innovators to create sustainable ventures that deliver meaningful impact.
The event concluded with a feedback session and a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ashwani Bhardwaj, Senior Scientist, CSIR-IITR. The program left students motivated and better informed about entrepreneurial pathways, opportunities, and the support offered through government initiatives.
By bringing together students, scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurship Awareness Program fostered a culture of innovation and enterprise creation, aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
