Cruelty in Lucknow: Woman Arrested for Beating 6-Year-Old Niece to Death
Lucknow: In a heart-wrenching incident from Lucknow’s Indira Nagar area, a six-year-old girl named Ayesha was allegedly beaten to death by her maternal aunt, Rubina. The incident took place in Chandan Gaon, where Rubina had brought the child from Sitapur under the pretext of providing her education.
Police have arrested Rubina and launched an investigation. Ayesha was the daughter of Shamsuddin, a laborer from Bilaspur in Mahmudabad, Sitapur district. Rubina, a relative and Ayesha’s maternal aunt, reportedly brought the child to Lucknow claiming she would take care of her studies.
However, authorities revealed that Rubina subjected the child to severe physical abuse. Ayesha succumbed to her injuries, and in a bid to cover up the crime, Rubina allegedly fabricated a story and misled the family, claiming the child had died due to illness.
The truth came to light when Ayesha’s family, upon seeing her body, discovered visible injury marks. A post-mortem confirmed that the cause of death was due to blunt force trauma. Following a complaint by Shamsuddin, the Indira Nagar Police registered a case of murder against Rubina.
The incident has sparked outrage and calls for stronger protection of children in domestic settings.
