Courtesy Meeting with BJP President Nitin Nabin in New Delhi

Lucknow/New Delhi: Representatives of the NISHAD Party met Nitin Nabin, President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, in New Delhi during a courtesy visit where key organizational and community-related issues were discussed.

During the meeting, the delegation apprised the BJP leadership about the organisational initiatives and public welfare activities being carried out by the NISHAD Party in Uttar Pradesh under the National Democratic Alliance. Discussions were also held regarding the adjustment of party workers within the alliance framework.

The leaders further raised the demand for including the Majhwar and Turaiha communities, along with their sub-castes, in the Scheduled Caste category. The matter was discussed as part of broader efforts to address the concerns and aspirations of the fishing and riverine communities in the state.

On the occasion, the delegation also invited Nitin Nabin to attend a special programme to be held at Shringverpur Dham to mark the birth anniversary of Maharaja Guhyaraj Nishad, revered in tradition as a close companion of Lord Rama.

As a gesture of respect, the delegation presented a boat, the symbolic emblem of the fishing community, to the BJP leader.

Former Member of Parliament and National Convenor of the NISHAD Party Praveen Nishad was also present during the meeting.
