COURSE ENDING PARADE OF MEDICAL OFFICERS BASIC COURSE (MOBC) – 253 HELD AT OFFICERS TRAINING COLLEGE (OTC) OF AMC CENTRE & COLLEGE, LUCKNOW

A Course Ending Parade was held at Officers Training College (OTC) of AMC Centre and College in Lucknow Cantonment on successful conclusion of Medical Officers Basic Course (MOBC)-253 on 18 Sep 2025.

The eight weeks course imparts intensive combat medical support training to young Armed Forces Medical and Dental Officers in order to empower them for effectively performing their duties and to transform these young professionals into medical and dental officers in uniform. This was the first course where the officers were able to participate in the inaugural Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Provider Course. This historical course marked the establishment of the ATLS Training Node for Armed Forces at AMC Centre & College

The course comprised of 121 officers including 32 lady officers with Tri Services representation. The parade was marked by military precision and customary elegance. The Course Ending Parade was reviewed by Lieutenant General Shivinder Singh, AVSM, Commandant, AMC Centre & College and OIC AMC Records & Colonel Commandant of AMC.

Major Aishwainee VG of Command Hospital, Northern Command Udhampur was adjudged Best All-round Officer of the course and was awarded Commandant’s Rolling Trophy and Captain Sumit Yadav of 319 Field Hospital was awarded Major Laishram Jyotin Singh, Ashok Chakra Memorial Trophy for being Best Officer in Field Events.

While addressing the young officers, the Reviewing Officer Lieutenant General Shivinder Singh complimented them for their excellent turnout and meticulous conduct of parade and exhorted them to uphold the traditions of Armed Forces Medical Services by maintaining the highest order of professional competence. The General Officer advised the officers to continuously upgrade and build upon the knowledge imparted at Officers Training College. Stressing upon the opportunities provided by the Armed Forces, he encouraged them to work hard to further their professional aspirations and stand committed to quality patient care for our troops in field and peace.

A large number of Armed Forces Medical Services officers witnessed the parade along with more than 200 proud parents and relatives of the course officers.
