Congress Targets PM Modi: “Give Account of Ten Years, Stop Shedding Tears”

Lucknow | The Congress party launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding that he present an account of his government’s performance over the last decade instead of delivering emotional speeches.

Addressing the media, Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi accused the Modi government of working only in the interests of “industrialist friends” while leaving youth, farmers, and the poor struggling with unemployment and rising inflation.

On international issues, Awasthi alleged that India faces 50% tariffs on global platforms while China continues to target Indian soldiers, yet the Prime Minister “fails to act decisively.” He further accused Modi of hiding behind “false emotions,” stating, “The country respects every mother, but the Prime Minister cannot use his mother’s name to deflect from failures.”

Citing the upcoming Bihar elections, Awasthi charged the BJP with attempting to split votes, claiming the Prime Minister’s “tears are as false as his promises.”
