Lucknow: The Lucknow Management Association (LMA) organised a high-level conference on “Transforming Real Estate in Uttar Pradesh Through Green Building” at Hotel Grand JBR, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, architects, and sustainability experts to deliberate on the future of eco-friendly development in the state.
The conference was graced by Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest, while Dr Rajeshwar Singh, Member of Legislative Assembly, attended as the Guest of Honour. Their presence underscored the state government’s commitment to promoting sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure.

Welcoming the guests, A.K. Mathur, Senior Vice President of LMA, highlighted the growing importance of green buildings in addressing environmental challenges, reducing energy consumption, and ensuring long-term economic and social benefits. He emphasised that sustainable real estate development is no longer an option but a necessity.
The conference featured insightful addresses by eminent experts, including Amit Srivastava, Chairman, IGBC Lucknow Chapter, who spoke on green building standards and certification frameworks; Sandeep Saraswat, Principal Architect, Srijan Dhrishti, who shared practical perspectives on sustainable architectural design; Jay Kumar Gupta, General Manager, SIDBI, who discussed financial support mechanisms for green projects; Ar. Ashok Kumar, Founder and Principal Architect, En Design, who elaborated on innovative design solutions; and Raj K. Verma, Deputy Manager, Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy, who stressed the role of energy efficiency in achieving climate goals.


The sessions were described as informative, interactive, and thought-provoking, encouraging meaningful brainstorming and exchange of ideas among participants. Speakers collectively highlighted that energy-efficient green buildings are the need of the hour and align closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to sustainable cities, climate action, and responsible consumption.
The programme was smoothly and effectively moderated by Renu Chaudhary, General Manager, LMA, whose facilitation ensured active audience engagement and seamless transitions between sessions.
Speaking on the occasion, it was also noted that the Lucknow Management Association is set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee in February this year, marking 50 years of contribution to professional excellence and thought leadership. Long-standing members expressed pride in being associated with the prestigious body over the decades.
The conference concluded with a strong consensus that collaborative efforts between government, industry, and professionals are essential to transform Uttar Pradesh’s real estate sector into a model of sustainability and resilience for the future.
