New Delhi: An encounter has been going on between security forces and terrorists in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir since Monday night. 5 soldiers including an officer have been martyred in this encounter. This operation is being carried out by a joint team of Army, CRPF and Police.
At present, the security forces have tightened the cordon so that the terrorists cannot escape. Army helicopters have also been deployed in search of the terrorists. The Indian government seems to be in strict mode regarding this attack. After this attack, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on phone on Tuesday.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave strict instructions
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has instructed the Army Chief to deal strictly with terrorist incidents. Rajnath Singh called General Upendra Dwivedi and said that no leniency should be shown towards terrorists and their organizations.
He instructed the Army Chief to take appropriate action. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday condoled the death of five Army personnel in an encounter with terrorists in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir and spoke to Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi. He also took stock of the ground situation there.
The Defence Minister paid tribute to the martyrs in a post on Instagram, writing, “Deeply saddened by the martyrdom of our brave soldiers of the Indian Army in the operation against terrorism in Urarbagi, Doda (Jammu and Kashmir). My condolences are with the bereaved families. The whole country stands with the families of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives while performing their duty.” He said that the operation against terrorists is continuing. Our soldiers are committed to eradicating terrorism and maintaining peace in the region.
Kashmir Tigers took responsibility for the attack
An encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in the forest of Doda in Jammu and Kashmir at around 9 pm. In this encounter (Doda Terrorist Attack), 5 soldiers were seriously injured. They have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Where five soldiers including an officer were martyred on Tuesday morning. The encounter is still going on. Army helicopters have also been deployed in search of terrorists.
Doda is one of the hilly districts with dense forests in Jammu division, where it is believed that terrorists are adopting the policy of guerrilla warfare. The terrorist organization Kashmir Tigers has taken responsibility for this attack in Doda. This organization is a part of Jaish-e-Mohammed. This terrorist organization had also taken responsibility for the recent attack on the army convoy in Kathua.
