College of Nursing Hosts Annual Day ‘Spandan’ at Lucknow Cantonment

Lucknow: The College of Nursing, Command Hospital, Central Command, celebrated its annual day ‘Spandan’ with great enthusiasm at the Major Laishram Jyotin Singh Auditorium in Lucknow Cantonment. The cultural showcase highlighted the vibrant extracurricular spirit and artistic talent of young military nursing cadets.

The event was graced by Lieutenant General Shivendra Singh, Commandant of the Army Medical Corps (AMC) Centre and College, Officer-in-Charge Records, and Colonel Commandant AMC, who attended as the Chief Guest. The celebration commenced with an exhibition of creative and artistic works prepared by the nursing cadets, reflecting their innovation and dedication beyond academics.

Senior officers of the Lucknow Garrison and their spouses were also present at the समारोह. The cadets captivated the audience with a series of impressive cultural performances, demonstrating confidence, teamwork and discipline.

During the function, Cadet Pramila was awarded the prestigious College Colours Trophy, while Aquila House received the Best House Trophy for securing the highest points in inter-house competitions. These contests included hobbies, drama and literary events, showcasing the holistic development of the cadets.

In his address, Lt Gen Shivendra Singh congratulated all nursing cadets for their remarkable talent and dedication. He emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping well-rounded professionals, stating that such platforms play a vital role in fostering leadership, creativity and personal growth alongside academic excellence.

The annual celebration concluded on a high note, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to nurturing skilled and confident nursing officers for the Armed Forces.
