Lucknow: City Montessori School (CMS) proudly participated in the prestigious Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX) 2025, a landmark gathering of astronauts, scientists, educators, and thought leaders from around the world, held to shape the future of space exploration and education.
Representing CMS at the global stage, Shobhit Kanchan, Analyst – AI & Robotics, explored avenues to enhance international cooperation in space and STEM learning. His participation marked CMS’s growing presence in the global space education ecosystem.
One of the key highlights was a session by astronaut Eytan Stibbe (Axiom-1), who lauded CMS’s initiative ‘Vyomotsav – CMS Space Fest 2025’. The festival honors CMS alumnus Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, set to pilot NASA’s Axiom Mission 4 to the International Space Station on June 8. Stibbe praised the fest as a visionary effort engaging both CMS students and learners from other schools in meaningful space science activities.
The event featured noted personalities such as Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, Michael Lopez-Alegria, Gopichand Thotakura, and ISRO Chairman S. Somanath, who emphasized integrating space education into school curricula. CMS reaffirms its mission to connect classrooms to the cosmos, nurturing young minds for a future in science and innovation.
