CMS organizes ‘Teachers Welcome Function’ with grandeur

Lucknow : City Montessori School grandly organized a ‘Teachers Welcome Ceremony’  with great enthusiasm at the CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus auditorium. On this occasion, CMS Founder-Director Dr. Bharti Gandhi and CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon heartily welcomed and felicitated the dedicated teachers of the school. A special attraction at the event was a multimedia presentation on the stay of CMS alumnus and astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla at the International Space Station.

Additionally, former and current meritorious CMS students who have set new benchmarks in education and brought glory to the school were honoured with cash prizes. CMS students who performed exceptionally well in the NEET and JEE Advanced examinations were awarded cash prizes of one lakh rupees each. Furthermore, students who showcased their talent in the Cambridge Primary & Lower Secondary and Cambridge Checkpoint examinations were also specially honoured with medals, certificates, and attractive gifts.

Earlier, the Chief Guest of the ceremony, Alok Ranjan, IAS, former Chief Secretary, Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Speaking profoundly on the topic ‘A Talk of Happiness’ on this occasion,  Ranjan urged teachers to impart life skills along with academic knowledge to students. Shri Ranjan stated that a generation filled with purity and happiness would rebuild society. Dr. Gaurav Agarwal, a senior physician from SGPGI, present as a special guest, raised awareness among female teachers about ‘Breast Cancer’ in his address.

Welcoming the Chief Guest, other dignitaries, and teachers, CMS Founder-Director Dr. Bharti Gandhi expressed that creative change in society would come through teachers. She urged teachers to properly instill values and cultural values in the coming generation. CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon stated that it is a matter of great pride for the CMS family that their alumnus Shubhanshu Shukla has reached the International Space Station, filling the entire country with pride. Shubhanshu is the first Indian citizen to achieve such an accomplishment. Prof. Kingdon emphasized providing quality education to students as well as making them aware of social issues.  Sushmita Ghosh, Superior Principal of CMS and Head of Quality Assurance & Innovation Department, expressed gratitude to the dedicated teachers of the school in her welcome address.

The program commenced with melodious performances of the School Prayer and Vande Mataram presented by CMS teachers. On this occasion, CMS teachers’ splendid presentations of the Welcome Song, World Unity Prayer, All Religion Prayer, and Prayer Dance illuminated the entire auditorium with spiritual light. In addition, various programs like choreography, Western music, and Indian music also garnered much applause.

Earlier, over 3000 teachers and staff of CMS organized a massive ‘Character Building March’, igniting an unprecedented awareness for the moral, ethical, and spiritual upliftment of the younger generation. This huge march of CMS teachers proceeded from Maqdoompur Police Station in Gomti Nagar Extension to the CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus auditorium. The march was led by CMS Founder-Director Dr. Bharti Gandhi, CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, and the Principals of all CMS campuses.
