Lucknow: A grand programme titled “Beyond the Classroom: Learning, Innovation and Excellence” was organized in the auditorium of the Cambridge Section of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Extension Campus, amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and celebration.
During the event, students brilliantly presented their academic experiences, research projects and scientific achievements before the audience. At the same time, the audience was enthralled by the musical performances of CMS’s young musicians who secured top positions in the music examinations conducted by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London.
Students demonstrated their mastery on various musical instruments including the violin, viola, clarinet and trumpet, leaving the audience highly impressed. The felicitation of CMS Cambridge toppers was another major highlight of the ceremony.
Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr Vinay Verma, Cambridge Regional Director, Delhi, and the Guest of Honour Dr Bhavya Singh, Coordinator of Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group, Lucknow, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the gathering, Vinay Verma encouraged students to become future leaders and stated that the Cambridge curriculum equips students with knowledge, skills and a global outlook, preparing them to achieve great success in life. On this occasion, he presented certificates and honoured the Cambridge toppers publicly.
CMS Cambridge student Gauri, who secured the highest position in History, was specially felicitated. Guest of Honour Dr Bhavya Singh appreciated the creativity and artistic talent of the students and said that the Cambridge Section of CMS is doing commendable work in shaping students into global citizens.

The segment titled “Outbound Expeditions – Snapshot” was a special attraction of the programme, in which CMS Cambridge students presented the findings and research from their educational trips. While presenting their Bharatpur trip, students showcased the unique features of various birds, their migration routes and habitats through soft boards and models.
Similarly, students presented their study of the architectural heritage of Delhi and Lucknow, explaining the evolution of monuments and changes in urban structures through various models. Students who visited Corbett National Park presented their research project focusing on sustainability. They shared their scientific findings related to household electricity consumption, water usage and waste management.
Models related to energy conservation, water saving and waste management became major attractions for the audience. In addition, Cambridge students Aishani and Mayra shared their experiences of participating in the Cambridge Lower Secondary Science Competition, inspiring other students. The musical performance “Sing a Rainbow” by ABRSM toppers received loud applause from the audience, while the performance of the Starlight Band was also widely appreciated.
On this occasion, Sushama Rajkumar, Dean of CMS Cambridge Campuses, praised the multi-faceted talents of the students and said that the Cambridge Section of CMS has established a new dimension in the educational landscape of Lucknow and opened the doors of limitless opportunities for the future generation. Maseerah Arif, Coordinator of the Cambridge Section of CMS Gomti Nagar Extension Campus, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the students, teachers and distinguished guests for making the programme a grand success.
