CM Yogi reviews law and order situation in Kanpur

Kanpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the development works and law and order in Kanpur district and gave necessary guidelines to the officials. He said that all development works should be completed in a quality manner within the stipulated time period. He said that immediate solution of problems should be ensured at the local level.

The Chief Minister said that the Municipal Corporation should run a special cleanliness campaign under Sisamau Legislative Assembly. Street lights, fogging, sanitization, pure drinking water and road repair work should be completed in Sisamau within 15 days at all costs. City forest should be developed in the coastal areas of Ganga ji. Destitute cattle should be kept in cow shelters.

The Chief Minister, while emphasizing on covering the city with basic facilities, said that a convention center should be established in the city by Kanpur Development Authority. Kanpur Development Authority should ban the construction of illegal colonies. Strict action should be taken against land mafias. A network of smart roads should be laid in the city, so that movement can be easy for the general public.

The Chief Minister said that the power supply system in the city should be improved. Power connections should be distributed to the needy. There should be no illegal vehicle stands anywhere. Proper parking arrangements should be ensured. For this, multi-level parking should be developed. E-rickshaws should be given different colors and their routes should be determined. Regular verification of e-rickshaw drivers should be done. Minor e-rickshaw drivers should be identified and appropriate action should be taken.

The Chief Minister said that the Basic Education Department should speed up the implementation of Operation Kayakalp Yojana in rural and urban areas. For this, the support of CSR Fund should also be taken. Free ration should be made available to the beneficiaries on time. It should be ensured that doctors in government hospitals come to the hospital on time.

The Chief Minister said that revenue disputes should be reviewed regularly. Regular meetings should be held with entrepreneurs and businessmen to resolve their problems. It should be ensured that there are no illegal encroachments around the Green Park Stadium, so that there is no problem in the match between India and Bangladesh in the month of September. Smart City Mission and Sports Department should get the repair work done at Green Park International Stadium soon.

The Chief Minister said that there should not be any laxity in law and order. For this, police patrolling and foot patrolling should be increased. Deployment of home guards should also be increased in sensitive areas. Under Mission Shakti, women police officers should not only provide security to women but also go among them and make them aware of the government schemes. The police department should take effective action against corrupt police personnel. Police personnel found involved in corruption should be dismissed.

The Chief Minister said that every department of the district should use innovation in its working system. Public hearing should be done in every department and core group meeting should be held every month at district, tehsil and block level. Officers should maintain dialogue with public representatives and get the public problems told by them resolved immediately. Employment fairs, loan fairs should be organized regularly. New possibilities of employment generation should also be explored.

Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, Minister of State for Excise and Prohibition (Independent Charge) Nitin Agarwal, Minister of State for Women Welfare Pratibha Shukla along with other public representatives and senior officers of the government and administration were present in the meeting.
