LUCKNOW – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level meeting to review the state’s law and order situation, directing officials to make public satisfaction the primary measure of their performance. The meeting, which included top police and administrative officials, was held via video conference and focused on various issues, including crime, natural disasters, and the upcoming festive season.
The meeting was attended by key figures such as Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar, DGP Rajiv Krishna, Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad, and ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash. All Additional Director Generals (ADGs), Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs), and Inspector Generals (IGs) joined the meeting virtually.
During the review, CM Yogi emphasized that negligence in resolving public complaints is “inexcusable.” He stated that the genuine satisfaction of the complainant must be the true benchmark of an official’s effectiveness.

Focus on Women’s Safety and Festive Preparedness
The Chief Minister stressed that the safety and security of women and girls is a top priority for the government. He called for the Anti-Romeo Squads to be more active and announced that a new phase of the Mission Shakti campaign would be launched during the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri festival.

He also instructed officials to remain on high alert to ensure that all upcoming festivals are celebrated peacefully. The meeting also addressed preparations for the PET examination and ongoing relief efforts in flood-affected areas. CM Yogi directed officials to make sure that relief work is effective and swift.
Key Directives to Various Departments
Principal Secretaries from several departments, including Health, Appointment and Personnel, Urban Development, Jal Shakti, and Energy, were present to report on their respective areas.
The Chief Minister issued specific directives to these departments:
- Health: The CM called for a “zero tolerance” policy against the sale of counterfeit and substandard medicines.
- Urban Development: Officials were told to focus on drainage and sanitation in urban areas to prevent waterlogging.
- Flood Relief: Departments were instructed to make sure that relief efforts in flood-affected areas are effective and immediate.
