“Fulfil your pledge to serve the people with commitment,” says UP Chief Minister to newly inducted officers
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with 34 newly appointed Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) at his official residence, 5 Kalidas Marg, Lucknow. The meeting was marked by the CM’s encouraging words and his signature gesture of personally motivating newly recruited officers and employees of the state.
CM Yogi, known for his inclusive and encouraging leadership style, reiterated that every public servant — whether a DySP or a revenue officer — plays a crucial role in shaping a better society. “When a leader treats all levels of officers and employees with equal respect and encouragement, it builds pride and a strong sense of responsibility within them. This inspires them to go beyond the call of duty and contribute to building a stronger, safer state,” he said.

After Year-Long Training, Officers Join Duty
The 34 officers recently completed their intensive one-year training at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Police Academy in Moradabad. These officers were selected through the UPPCS 2023 examination. Originally a batch of 36, two candidates exited the training midway, leaving 34 — including 9 women and 25 men — who successfully completed the rigorous course.
The group underwent 12 months of tough, multi-dimensional training designed to prepare them for real-time law enforcement challenges. They all passed their final assessments and are now set to take on responsibilities as part of the Uttar Pradesh Police cadre.
CM’s Call for Ethical and Committed Policing
While addressing the officers, CM Yogi reminded them of the pledge they took to uphold the Constitution and serve the people. He urged them to carry out their duties with utmost sincerity, honesty, and dedication.
“You are not just law enforcers; you are custodians of justice, protectors of the weak, and instruments of social order. Every action of yours should reflect your commitment to truth and the well-being of the public,” the CM said. He also emphasized the importance of integrity, transparency, and compassion in public service.
A Vision for a Stronger Uttar Pradesh
The Chief Minister encouraged the officers to be role models in their respective postings and work to build a secure and just society. He also spoke of the expectations citizens have from police officers, especially in today’s rapidly changing socio-political environment.
“Your success lies not only in law enforcement but in winning the trust of the people. A sensitive, responsive, and effective officer can transform the image of the police force,” he said.
The newly inducted DySPs expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for his time and encouraging words. Many described the meeting as a moment of pride and motivation as they embark on their careers in uniform.
This initiative is part of CM Yogi’s ongoing commitment to personally engaging with newly appointed government personnel across departments, reinforcing the culture of accountability, discipline, and service in Uttar Pradesh’s administrative and law enforcement machinery.
