Lucknow – On the auspicious occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the beautification project of the great warrior’s statue located at Maharana Pratap Chowk near Husainganj Crossing in Lucknow. The ceremony was marked by a cultural homage and the CM’s address honoring the legacy of the legendary Rajput king.
Speaking at the event, CM Yogi highlighted Maharana Pratap’s valor, patriotism, and commitment to his people and nation. “Maharana Pratap is not just a historical figure, he is a timeless symbol of bravery and resistance against injustice. His courage continues to inspire generations to uphold the values of self-respect, freedom, and sacrifice,” the Chief Minister said.
The newly beautified statue area features enhanced landscaping, lighting, and public amenities, transforming it into a dignified and inspiring public space. The CM emphasized that such initiatives are part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to preserve and celebrate India’s glorious history and cultural icons.

A large number of locals, school students, historians, and cultural enthusiasts attended the ceremony, which also featured traditional performances and tributes in Maharana Pratap’s honor.
CM Yogi also reiterated his government’s commitment to honoring the contributions of national heroes and promoting pride in India’s cultural and historical heritage across Uttar Pradesh.
