Lucknow: Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus, organized an informative and impactful cyber awareness session to keep students abreast of the ever-growing challenges of cyber crime in today’s digital age. The programme aimed to educate students about online safety, cyberbullying, identity theft, and the responsible use of social media,truly a case of “forewarned is forearmed.”
The event began on an auspicious note with a warm and cordial welcome of the distinguished Guest of Honour, Mahesh Agarwal, Chairman, Goel Group of Institutions; Principal Dr. Rina Pathak; Sumona Pandey, Station Director, Akashvani, Lucknow; and Kamaljeet Singh, Chairman, ACAC Mission Bharat Trust, Uttar Pradesh. Their presence added immense grace and inspiration to the programme.
The Guest Speakers, Akhilesh Patel, Cyber Cell Officer; Gaurav Shukla, Cyber Cell Officer; and Arti Verma, Sub Inspector, conducted an enlightening session on cyber crimes. They explained various types of online frauds, cyberbullying, phishing, and identity theft in a simple yet powerful manner. They also shared practical tips on protecting personal information, creating strong passwords, avoiding suspicious links, and reporting cyber threats—proving that “a stitch in time saves nine.” The students listened with rapt attention as the speakers laid bare the harsh realities of the digital world.
The Guest of Honour, Mahesh Agarwal, then addressed the students and motivated them to use technology wisely. He reminded them that while the internet is a powerful tool, its misuse can be dangerous. His inspiring words encouraged students to think before they click and act responsibly online, reinforcing that “prevention is better than cure.”

Following this, Principal Dr. Rina Pathak addressed the gathering and emphasized that awareness is the strongest shield against cyber threats. She encouraged students to be vigilant, responsible, and ethical digital citizens. She also appreciated the efforts of the school for organizing such a timely and meaningful programme for the students.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and the Cyber Cell team for their valuable guidance and support. The session proved to be an eye-opener and an empowering experience for the students, leaving them better equipped to stay safe and smart in the cyber world.
