Mumbai: Pushpa 2: The Rule is currently dominating cinema screens worldwide, creating a massive buzz among moviegoers as the film has turned out to become the highest opener worldwide in the history of Indian Cinema by recording ₹449 Crores including day 1 globally. The film, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has become a box-office sensation, with fans flocking to theaters and sold-out shows, especially on weekends. The film’s popularity is so overwhelming that other films are seeing reduced shows as Pushpa 2 continues to rule the box office. In a recent statement, veteran cinema owner Manoj Desai revealed that he decided to increase the number of shows for Pushpa 2 at Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety-Galaxy multiplex, one of the city’s most popular theaters. This comes after people were not able to get tickets for the show on weekends.
The veteran theatre owner announced the same, and addressed the craze for Pushpa 2, “Jo picture super duper hit hai, action-wise, romance-wise, kya cheez hai? Emotion-wise, sab-wise number one hai. Jo girlfriend thi Pushpa1 mein wo, uski wife ban chuki hai iske andar, aur kya chahiye aadmi? Gaiety galaxy mein, abhi maine aur ek theater badha diya hai, ho sakta hai ek aur theater badha du, paanch theater kar du, aur sabhi ke andar Pushparaj hai.”
He asked people to rush to the theatres as he would increase shows for Pushpa 2, saying, “Main confirm mein maine ghoshit kar liya hai, ke teen show kar diye hain, aur wo show kal se shuru ho jayenge. Haan mujhe pata chala Sunday ko tickets nahi mil raha hai, Sunday ko tickets nahi mil raha hai tabhi toh maine theater badha diya, jao bhago aur usme le lo ya BookMyShow se kharid lo.”
