CII Northern Region Holds Budget 2026–27 Discussion, Calls It Growth-Oriented for Industry

Lucknow | The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region organised a post-Budget interaction session to deliberate on the Union Budget 2026–27, bringing together industry leaders to collectively review the announcements and assess their impact on regional and national economic growth.

Addressing the gathering, CII Northern Region Chairperson and Executive Chairperson of the Anand Group, Anjali Singh, said that the Union Budget 2026 presents focused measures for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), strengthening their access to growth capital and enabling sustainable expansion. She added that the India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, with its emphasis on indigenous equipment, materials, design capabilities and intellectual property creation, will significantly boost India’s electronics and advanced manufacturing ecosystem.

CII Northern Region Vice Chairperson and Managing Director & CEO of Samtel Avionics, Puneet Kaura, described the Budget as a balanced and pragmatic framework aimed at strengthening India’s industrial and technological foundations.

Dr. Upasana Arora, Chairperson, CII Uttar Pradesh and Managing Director of Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals, noted that the Budget places strong emphasis on employment generation and preparing a future-ready workforce. She highlighted that the ‘Bio Pharma Shakti’ initiative is expected to promote biopharmaceutical manufacturing, research and exports, while increased focus on mental health, trauma care and assistive technologies will improve access to quality healthcare services.

Abhishek Saraf, Vice Chairperson, CII Uttar Pradesh and Managing Director of Awadh Rail Infra Limited, said that Budget 2026 is clearly growth-driven. He pointed out that the proposed SME Growth Fund will enhance access to equity and liquidity, enabling business expansion and innovation. He also noted that continued focus on road and railway infrastructure provides long-term confidence for industrial investment.

CII Northern Region Regional Director Rachna Jindal said that the Union Budget 2026 sends strong signals of continuity, stability and sustained industrial and technological development.

CII Northern Region reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to translate policy measures into tangible outcomes that support industry growth and economic development.
