Chris Evans back to Marvel – Verse

Mumbai: Chris Evans is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the highly anticipated “Avengers: Doomsday,” directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.

While his exact role is unclear, reports suggest he may reprise his iconic character Steve Rogers, though not as Captain America. Anthony Mackie will continue the Captain America legacy as Sam Wilson.

Fans speculate about Evans’ comeback, especially after his brief appearance as Johnny Storm in “Deadpool & Wolverine” earlier this year. The film will also feature Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom, alongside new “Fantastic Four” stars Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

With its multi-universe themes and nostalgic callbacks, “Avengers: Doomsday,” releasing May 1, 2026, promises to unite beloved MCU characters while exploring fresh narratives. The Russo Brothers, known for their work on “Infinity War” and “Winter Soldier,” will bring their signature style to this thrilling chapter in MCU history.
