Children’s Day adorned with a Magic Show at Mount Berry Convent; children had immense fun

 

Lucknow: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Children’s Day, a special magic show was organized for children on Monday at Mount Berry Convent School, Kalyanpur, Lucknow. The entire school campus was filled with enthusiasm as students celebrated Children’s Day and paid heartfelt tribute to Nehru Ji, lovingly known to children as “Chacha Nehru.”
The program began with garlanding Nehru Ji’s portrait and lighting the ceremonial lamp. The school administration and teachers extended their best wishes to the children on Children’s Day and shared insights about Nehru Ji’s life, ideals, and his deep commitment to children’s education and rights.

After this, the main attraction for the children was the special magic show presented by the renowned magician Arjun Verma. He performed one thrilling and astonishing act after another—

  • Objects floating in the air
  • Colorful scarves emerging from an empty hat
  • Card magic
  • Objects disappearing and reappearing

All of these acts captivated the children. From the youngest kids to the senior students, everyone expressed their excitement with rounds of applause. During the show, the magician also taught the children a few simple tricks, inspiring confidence and creativity, which they eagerly embraced.

Chief Guest Dr. Farah Abbas said that the purpose of Children’s Day is to provide joy, learning, and positive experiences to children. She mentioned that such programs play a vital role in developing children’s personality, mental resilience, and creative thinking. At the end of the event, sweets and gifts were distributed to the students. The entire day remained festive, filled with the laughter, excitement, and happiness of children.

Meanwhile, Principal Dr. Uzma Shahid, in her address, encouraged the students by saying that every child possesses a unique talent that needs to be identified and nurtured. She said, “The true celebration of Children’s Day lies in children smiling, learning, and moving forward. Dream big, think positively, and progress towards your goals with honesty.” She also informed that the school organizes various activities to enhance children’s creativity and confidence. She concluded by wishing all students a happy Children’s Day and praying for their bright future.

Additionally, Senior Coordinator Ettefaq Ahmad said that the institution prioritizes the holistic development of children. He stated that through yoga classes, physical education, and various creative activities, continuous efforts are being made to strengthen children’s physical and mental well-being. Along with this, these activities also promote students’ mental, intellectual, and social development. He added that such programs play an important role in developing discipline, confidence, and a positive mindset among children.
