₹2,500 Cr AI-Augmented Campus to Offer Industry-Collaborated Education Across Disciplines—From Engineering to Humanities
With ₹40 Crore Scholarships and 5 Centers of Excellence, CU UP Aims To Nurture Future Global Leaders

Hardoi: Students in Uttar Pradesh will now have access to more than just degrees—they will gain AI-powered education, mentorship from industry experts, and globally-aligned industry-oriented skills. This announcement was made by Professor (Dr.) Thipendra P. Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, during a press conference held in Hardoi.
During the event, Prof. Singh revealed that Chandigarh University has launched 50 industry-collaborated undergraduate and postgraduate programs in disciplines such as engineering, business, health sciences, humanities, and legal studies. “Our objective is not just to confer degrees,” said Prof. Singh, “but to equip students from day one with skills that make them job-ready.” The university has signed MoUs with 23 global companies including Google, Microsoft, IBM, Quick Heal, NSE, PwC, and KPMG. Through these partnerships, students will gain access to live projects, research labs, and assured placement opportunities.
The university’s campus is located in the SCR region of Unnao and has been developed as India’s first AI-augmented multidisciplinary campus with an investment of ₹2,500 crore. Every course offered will integrate AI technology, ensuring students are industry-ready from the outset.
On this occasion, Prof. Singh also launched the CUCET 2025 portal (https://cucet.cuchd.in), announcing that students can use it to apply for admission to CU-UP and avail scholarships worth up to ₹40 crore. Additionally, to promote research, a fund of ₹3 crore has been earmarked under the ‘CV Raman Scholarship’, to empower promising students to pursue careers in scientific research and innovation.
Speaking at the event, Chandigarh University’s Registrar, Dr. Ajay Yadav, shared that Chandigarh University plans to set up five Centres of Excellence in partnership with Rabbit AI—marking the first time a private university in India will host such extensive AI infrastructure. He also noted that courses like B.Tech, MBA, MCA, and BCA have been redesigned in collaboration with industry partners. These programs will include emerging subjects like cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, fintech, and machine learning. Recently, global tech giant Microsoft-led AI Bootcamp was organized at Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh in which practical hands-on training using AI tools and technologies was conducted for the first batch of CU UP. Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is listed among the state’s public universities. This year, Chandigarh University has received approval from the Bar Council of India to launch law courses, while its School of Pharmacy has also been accredited by the Pharmacy Council of India—marking a significant step forward in advancing legal and pharmaceutical education in Uttar Pradesh.
